Brenda Cary Brown & Brenda Ewan Shute

Fondly known as the “2 Brendas”, these girls may have relocated, but they haven’t really left the wide open spaces of West Texas! Best friends since childhood, together they bring their own unique expertise to the team.

Brenda Cary Brown is an “engineer by degree, but designer by passion!” When she’s not working for an oil company, you will find her ‘deep in the details’ of several decorating and design projects.

Brenda Ewan Shute is degreed in Fashion and Business, yet her love of design helps her to literally ‘set the stage’ for homes that are to be sold in the Metroplex market.

The “2 Brendas” participated as a design team in the Dallas Junior Forum’s ‘Spring Fling’ Tablescape fundraiser.

If you ask Brenda Brown what some of her favorite things about West Texas are, she will tell you “great friends and family”! Her goal for Pink Mesquite is to provide “fun, memorable, quality events with lots of creative attention to detail.” Along those lines, her best party memory was a Dallas event that was “absolutely over-the-top, with dancers dangling from the ceiling, 10 ft. tall centerpieces on the tables, and cool bands such as Kool & the Gang, and Earth, Wind and Fire!” She keeps her creative juices flowing by enjoying a little ‘chocolate and alternative or pop rock music’.

Brenda Shute loves the wide open spaces of West Texas, and claims ‘they have the prettiest sunsets anywhere!’ Her vision for Pink Mesquite is to “provide energy and fun to any party, using color, texture, flowers and other things to make the event a real crowd-pleaser, while making the innermost wishes of the client’s special party come true!” When not working, Brenda enjoys listening to jazz, reading or entertaining friends on her backyard deck (serving her favorite quesadillas, perhaps?)
